Using the Library

Opening hours: The Faculty of Health Sciences libraries at Mbale and campus libraries are open Monday to Friday (08:00 am-10:00 pm); Saturday (08:00 am-06:00 pm) and Sunday (09:00 am-01:00 pm)

Entrance and Access to the library: All library users must identify themselves at all times in order to access library for security reasons. Bags, briefcases & overcoats MUST be left at one of the designated shelves at the entrance of both libraries. 

Registration: Students must register with the library in order to borrow books and access other library services. During registration, the students provide an electronic passport photo and show evidence of admission to university. Students’ data is captured in the KOHA library management system. 

Information resources: both faculty libraries at Mbale and Kabwangasi libraries offer the following: print books, e-books, online full-text journals and databases, Busitema institutional repository, online public access catalogue and reference management support
