Accessing & obtaining an UpToDate Account

Accessing UpToDate: 

Busitema University faculty of Health Sciences received a five-year donation access to UpToDate in May 2021 from the Better Evidence for Training from Ariadne Labs in Boston, USA. UpToDate is a clinical decision support tool authored by 7,100 world-renowned physicians. It covers 25 broad medical specialists and is consulted by 1.9 million clinicians in 190 countries. UpToDate impacts 300,000 medical decisions globally every day. 

Steps in Accessing UpToDate

1. Visit www.uptodate.com/online to access UpToDate.
2. Log on using the University`s internet access at the Faculty of Health Sciences, or Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. 
3. Once on the site, click REGISTER to create an account 
4. UpToDate also gives you an offline version to use on your phone or
5. tablet through the Mobile Complete.
6.  Simply download the UpToDate Mobile App from Google Play, Amazon and Apple App store. 
7. This will enable you choose and download content that you can access while away from the campus.
